In a major incident, at least one kg RDX explosive has been recovered from an Amritsar resident in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, the police said on Wednesday.
Gurdaspur Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Nanak Singh, said that police arrested Sukhwinder Singh (29), a resident of Kakkar village which falls under Lopoke police station.
Earlier, the officials arrested two men, identified as Raj Singh and Jasmeet Singh, which led to the recovery of two grenades.

The team was investigating where the explosives were to be used. Reportedly, the BSF has been carrying out a search operation in the border areas.
Earlier in the day, the Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on a suspected Pakistani drone near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Ajnala.
The drone then returned to the Pakistani side after the border guards opened fire to bring it down.
