Later, the Transport Minister, on November 22, assured that in the forthcoming cabinet meeting a decision would be taken to confirm the contractual employees of the transport department.

However, there was no outcome in the cabinet meeting held on December 1 which made it clear to the employees that the government was pursuing a policy of evasion and was not serious about the protesting employees.

He further said that the union has demanded that 10,000 government buses should be provided but no bus has been provided by the Government from the government exchequer.
