Delhi schools to reopen for all classes from November 29: Manish Sisodia

Delhi air pollution: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday announced that all schools in the national capital will reopen from November 29.

Talking to Twitter, Manish Sisodia wrote: “All the schools in Delhi will reopen from 29.11.2021 for all classes.”

Earlier on November 21, the Directorate of Education, Delhi, had announced that all schools in Delhi will remain shut for physical classes till further orders due to rising levels of air pollution in the national capital.

All the heads of schools were instructed to disseminate the information to the students, staff members, SMC members, and parents.

To tackle increasing air pollution levels in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on November 13 had announced a ‘pollution lockdown’ under which the schools were closed for physical classes for a week.

Later, the Delhi government announced to keep the schools shut till further orders.

Likewise, the Delhi government’s Department of Environment and Forests on Saturday extended the ban imposed on the entry of trucks in the national capital except those carrying essential commodities till November 30, as per the official order.
